Born and raised in Texas, I graduated magna cum laude receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Art History from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Before pursuing a Fine Arts degree I lived in New York City modeling and studying Interior Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Living in the city presented an opportunity to learn and explore and I realized my passion for the arts and began painting in my Tribeca apartment, where I created a makeshift studio.

After relocating back to Texas in 1996 I continued painting, but on a larger scale and opened a decorative painting and mural design company, Green Frog & Co., which served Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend area. In 2014 I was invited to join the team at K Space Contemporary, a non-profit organization exhibiting emerging and mid-career artists. As Education Director I lead a thriving art education outreach program serving Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.

I tend to get lost in my studio finding solace away from the overstimulation of the outside world. Here I can turn my music on and begin to engage with paint, ink, and wax. I am drawn to creating environments I wish to find myself in. Each piece is a kind of page in my journal, an exploration where I have expressed my internal outward.

The current body of work I am creating is in reaction to the bombardment of information regarding current events and political climate; the effects it has had on me and the tribe of friends which surround me.
